Metrowest Massachusetts Regional Library System (mmrls.org) 2008-current. Evaluating the effectiveness of delivery operations of all six regional systems including integration with library systems, sorting, labeling, and in house versus outsourced services. Includes recommendations for possible consolidation and/or automating of services.

King County Library System (www.kcls.org) 2007-current. Developing software requirements specification for integrated library system to be developed on open source platform such as Evergreen.

Santa Clara County Library (www.santaclaracountylib.org) 2007-current. On contract with library to assist with IT projects including migration to new public access computing platform and evaluating IT staffing.

Sonoma County Library (sonomalibrary.org) 2007-current. Working with library to optimize materials handling and IT systems. Project includes helping develop project management skills for staff, assisting with facility redesign projects and evaluating IT staffing.

Western New York Library Resources Council (WNYLRC) (wnylrc.org) 2007-current. Evaluating use of resource sharing tools by member libraries and providing recommendations for improving regional resource sharing.

Metropolitan New York Library Council (METRO) (metro.org) 2007-current. Provide ongoing consulting in the area of materials handling and delivery.

Solano County Library (www.solanolibrary.com) 2006-current. Evaluating materials handling and delivery operations. Providing materials handling recommendations for new building design. The Extensible Library: Library 2.0 and Patron 2.0: The Public Library Perspective (20 min podcast, slides). Addresses the unique problems faced by public libraries vis-a-vis publishers, especially journal aggregators. Past Projects

Peninsula Library System (plsinfo.org)2007-2008. Managed Home Delivery Pilot project which is a project funded by an LSTA grant to implement a home delivery option at four California library systems and evaluate the cost and benefits of providing home delivery to customers. Project cancelled.

Contra Costa County Library (ccclib.org) 2007. Recommended automated materials handling system for libraries under construction, provided recommendations on use of RFID and bar code technologies.

Infopeople Project (infopeople.org) 2000-2007. Technology Consultant and Workshop Instructor. Courses taught include Developing a Technology Plan and Library Technology 101.

Metropolitan New York Library Council (METRO) (metro.org) 2006. Worked with METRO to evaluate their delivery service in the context of other services provided to METRO members. Analyzed costs associated with providing delivery and alternative approaches to current courier-based model.

Santa Clara County Library (www.santaclaracountylib.org) 2006. Evaluated public access computing solution currently in place at the library to determine if current solution is viable over the long-term of if alternative public access computing solutions should be implemented.

California Library Association (cla-net.org) 2003-2006. Implemented website redesign and complete technology refresh and Technology Plan for CLA in 2004. Provide ongoing support as needed.

San Francisco Law Library (sflawlib.ci.sf.ca.us) 2004-2006. Configured desktops for public use including setting up security, installing and configuring applications and establishing backup and cloning system. Providing ongoing support as needed.

Berkeley Public Library (berkeleypubliclibrary.org) 2006. Project Manager for redesign of library website. Project included graphically redesigning website and re-architecting the library's web-based information, integrating an events calendar using PHPCalendar, integrating Contribute for content management and assisting with Movable Type integration for blogging. Not yet launched

North State Cooperative Library System (nscls.org) 2006. Project Manager for website redesign. Project included implementation of events calendar using PHP iCalendar. Developed custom membership management system and online directory.

California State Library Foundation (cslfdn.org) 2006. Managed the implementation of the Gates Foundation Public Access Computing Hardware Upgrade Grant (PAC-HUG).

Librarian's Index to the Internet (lii.org) 2004-2005. Assisted with managing migration and redevelopment of lii.org intranet and extranet.

Califa (califa.org) 2004-2005. Helped develop Califa's Information Forums, responsible for content and Q&A in RFID Information Forum.

Peninsula Library System (plsinfo.org) 2003. Conducted efficiency analysis of Peninsula Library System's delivery system. Made recommendations for immediate improvements and long-term planning.

Golden Gateway Library Network (GGLN) 2002. Evaluated delivery system for 188-member library network and made recommendations for improving services and reducing costs.

Sonoma State University (sonoma.edu) 2001. Provided project management assistance and technology consulting for Sonoma State's LeBaron Collection digitization initiative.
